About the Beach
Praia de Amoreira is a wild beach on the Vicentine Coast where the River Aljezur meets the Atlantic, creating a freshwater lagoon that lets you swim in two kinds of water in one place. Long dunes and native coastal vegetation form one of the most preserved coastal ecosystems in Portugal. Proximity to the historic town of Aljezur, with its Moorish castle, adds a cultural dimension to the visit.
