About this project
Guia de Praias is an independent guide to every officially monitored beach in Portugal — 805 of them, covering the mainland, the Azores and Madeira. We bring together data from the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA), the Blue Flag Association (ABAAE) and the open Portuguese government portal dados.gov.pt.
For each beach you get the official water-quality classification, the Blue Flag award status, accessibility, available amenities, location on the map and current conditions. Updated every season, free to use, no paywall.
