Praia Fluvial de Alvito da Beira sits on the banks of the Alvito stream, in the village of the same name, about 18 km from Proença-a-Nova. Instead of sand it has a lawn for towels, with a picnic park and shaded areas around it, and a bar serving meals. It is the starting point of the Rota dos Recantos e Encantos walking trail, which follows old irrigation channels up to the Cova do Alvito. During the bathing season there is free transport from the Proença-a-Nova urban park.

Praia Fluvial de Belmonte sits on the banks of the Belmonte stream, a tributary of the River Zêzere, next to the birthplace of Pedro Álvares Cabral, discoverer of Brazil. The medieval Belmonte castle and the historic village add a unique cultural dimension to this river bathing destination. The cool, clean water of this mountain area and the quiet rural setting are much loved in summer.

Praia Fluvial de Idanha-a-Nova sits on the Idanha reservoir, formed by the waters of the River Ponsul, in a landscape of olive groves and wheat fields typical of the Beira Baixa region. Praia Fluvial de Vila Velha de Ródão sits next to the famous Portas de Ródão, a natural gorge of the River Tagus carved into quartzite — one of Portugal's most striking geographical features. The Tagus water on this stretch is calm and suitable for bathing, while the surrounding Portas de Ródão create a landscape of dramatic geology. The location is also important from an archaeological and palaeontological perspective.

Praia Fluvial de Pampilhosa da Serra sits on the Cabril reservoir on the River Zêzere, surrounded by the Serra da Lousã in one of the most isolated and natural areas of central Portugal. This area, hit by the forest fires of 2017, has been recovering and reasserting itself as a nature-tourism destination.

Praia da Barra is one of the largest and busiest beaches on Portugal's central coast, anchored by the imposing Farol da Barra — Portugal's tallest lighthouse, 62 metres high, in operation since 1893 and still active today. Located in the municipality of Ílhavo, at the entrance to the Ria de Aveiro, the beach runs for around four kilometres of fine, light-coloured sand, with a direct Atlantic frontage and some of the most consistent swell on the Portuguese coast.

Praia da Torreira Norte is the northernmost stretch of Torreira beach, with better-preserved dunes and a more natural setting than the central area. Located in Vale Góis, on the outskirts of the town of Pedrógão Grande, Praia Fluvial do Cabril sits in a privileged spot in the heart of Portugal, about 700 metres from the EN2 national road and 1.5 km from the IC8. Part of the Cabril reservoir, the bathing area is fed by the Zêzere and Unhais rivers, in a scenic setting shaped by the Pinhal Interior landscape, straddling the districts of Leiria and Castelo Branco. Nearby is the Pedrógão Grande campsite and, on one of the beach's terraces, Docas do Cabril, offering street food during the bathing season. The official bathing season runs from 15 June to 15 September, during which dogs are discouraged. The ground is not sandy.

Situated in the municipality of Pedrógão Grande, Praia Fluvial do Mosteiro lies between the parishes of Pedrógão and Vila Facaia, in a rural setting of great beauty shaped by the Ribeira de Pera, a tributary of the Zêzere river. Part of the Aldeia do Xisto do Mosteiro (schist village), this beach stands out for its tranquil atmosphere and strong natural setting, with alders, cork oaks and oaks lining the watercourse and providing pleasant shaded spots. The surroundings are also marked by cultural heritage tied to rural life and traditional farming practices, including an old olive press and a water mill. Praia Fluvial do Mosteiro is a place where nature, water, heritage and rural memory meet, offering an authentic experience of the landscape and the territory's identity. Praia Fluvial da Mega Fundeira sits on the Ribeira de Mega stream, in the municipality of Pedrógão Grande, district of Leiria. It is a small river bathing area with a swimming zone and a sun terrace, right beside the Estrada Nacional 2 road at kilometre 306. There is a picnic area with a barbecue and a terrace under a traditional strawberry-grape vine trellis. A traditional water mill survives on site, driven by the stream, and the Trilho de Mega Fundeira walking trail starts here and follows the water. It is a river beach with water quality rated Excellent by APA in 2025, a rating it has held since 2021, the first year the bathing water was classified. According to Guarda town council, which opened it in 2019, it has a picnic area, a bar with a terrace and a covered barbecue area. The APA register lists parking, waste collection and beach cleaning, and records no toilets, showers or supervision, so there is no guaranteed lifeguard during the bathing season.
