About the Beach
Praia do Labrego is the most secluded beach in the Vagos municipality, free from direct urban influence and close to sensitive natural systems; the adjoining estuary lets visitors watch birds in the salt-marsh area. It is popular with surfers for its good wave conditions, and has a surf school and a small water park for children; for food, there is the Luna Bar beach kiosk, serving meals and light snacks. It holds the Blue Flag in 2026 (first awarded in 2023) and water quality rated Excellent by APA in 2025; according to the municipality, it has also been awarded the "Praia Qualidade Ouro" (Gold Quality Beach) distinction.
