About the Beach
Praia da Vagueira is the most visited beach in the Centro Litoral within the Vagos municipality, known for the traditional Arte Xávega beach-seine fishing still practised on its sands. Set within a well-established seafront town, it has a long promenade for walks by the sea, plenty of restaurants and shops, and a surf school. According to the municipality, it has held the Blue Flag since 1989. Water quality is rated Excellent by APA in 2025.
