Praia de Bico

Praia de Monte Branco (ria Aveiro) is in the municipality of Murtosa, district of Aveiro, in the Centre region. Coastal beach with water quality rated Excellent by APA in 2025.

Praia da Torreira Norte is the northernmost stretch of Torreira beach, with better-preserved dunes and a more natural setting than the central area. Surf conditions are good and water quality is excellent. The sand strip between the lagoon and the ocean delivers unique landscapes overlooking the Ria de Aveiro.

Praia de Torreira is one of the most accessible beaches on the Ria de Aveiro, set on a sand strip between the Atlantic and the lagoon, with bathing options on both sides. The calm and authenticity of this small fishing village, with its harbour and tradition of moliço harvesting, offer a genuinely Aveiro-region experience. The colourful moliceiro boats of the lagoon are an iconic image of the place.

Praia de São Jacinto is reached by ferry from Aveiro, which gives it a partial isolation that preserves its unique natural setting. The São Jacinto Dunes Nature Reserve, adjacent to the beach, is one of Portugal's most important sites for the conservation of coastal dune flora and fauna. The combination of a quality Atlantic beach and protected nature makes it a very special destination.
