About the Beach
Praia Fluvial de Alvito sits on the Odivelas reservoir in the Lower Alentejo, with very warm water in summer and the typical Alentejo landscape of plains, dehesa and holm oaks. The reservoir is an important water reservoir for Alentejo irrigation and its banks offer very pleasant leisure conditions. The medieval Alvito castle and its pousada add great historical value.
