Situated in the municipality of Pedrógão Grande, Praia Fluvial do Mosteiro lies between the parishes of Pedrógão and Vila Facaia, in a rural setting of great beauty shaped by the Ribeira de Pera, a tributary of the Zêzere river. Part of the Aldeia do Xisto do Mosteiro (schist village), this beach stands out for its tranquil atmosphere and strong natural setting, with alders, cork oaks and oaks lining the watercourse and providing pleasant shaded spots. The surroundings are also marked by cultural heritage tied to rural life and traditional farming practices, including an old olive press and a water mill. Praia Fluvial do Mosteiro is a place where nature, water, heritage and rural memory meet, offering an authentic experience of the landscape and the territory's identity. The official bathing season runs from 15 June to 15 September, during which dogs are discouraged. The ground is grassy, not sandy.
