About the Beach

Praia do Castelejo is one of the windiest and most exposed beaches in Portugal, on the western Algarve coast between Sagres and Carrapateira. Powerful waves and constant wind make it one of the country's best surf and bodyboard spots for experienced practitioners. The dramatic landscape of black cliffs and open Atlantic conveys a feeling of being at the end of the world.
