Praia de Manuel Lourenço

Praia de São Lourenço, on Armona island within the Ria Formosa Natural Park, is reached by ferry from Olhão, with a long stretch of fine sand and exceptional water quality. The island's isolation guarantees a more natural and peaceful experience than on the mainland beaches. The lagoon along the inner side of the island is a habitat of great biodiversity.

Difficult access keeps visitor numbers low, preserving an untouched natural setting that is very rare in the central Algarve.
