Pego do Inferno is a waterfall and natural pool in the interior of the Tavira municipality, formed by the River Séqua, creating a natural lagoon of cool, crystal-clear water surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. Although it has no official beach amenities, it is very busy in summer with visitors looking for a natural refuge of great beauty in the inland Algarve hills. The primitive setting and the sound of the waterfall create an authentic nature experience.
