About the Beach
Praia da Armação de Pêra is one of the largest beaches in the Algarve, with a long stretch of fine sand running for several kilometres between rocky promontories. The bathing town is one of the Algarve's most traditional tourist centres, with a strong presence of both Portuguese and international visitors. The small Nossa Senhora da Rocha fort, at the end of the beach, is the area's most recognisable landmark.
