About the Beach

Costa da Caparica is Lisbon's great urban beach, with around 30 kilometres of sand south of the River Tagus, served by a beach tram that distributes bathers along the dozens of numbered sections. Powerful waves make it a highly regarded surf destination, with several schools and international competitions.
