Praia de Carcavelos is the largest beach on the Cascais line and one of the most popular in the Lisbon metropolitan area, with a long stretch of golden sand and excellent surfing conditions. Its proximity to Lisbon and the excellent train link make it very accessible, drawing thousands of bathers on summer days. Consistent waves and the on-beach surf school attract practitioners of every level.
