About the Beach
Praia Fluvial de Castelo de Bode sits on the reservoir of the same name on the River Zêzere, one of the largest in Portugal, supplying drinking water to the Lisbon metropolitan area. The warm, calm water of the reservoir, surrounded by hills and pine woods, creates excellent conditions for water sports like jet ski, wakeboard and sailing. The area is very popular with Tomar and Lisbon residents during the summer.
