Praia Fluvial de Nisa

Praia Fluvial da Póvoa e Meadas sits on the Póvoa e Meadas reservoir, one of the largest in the Alentejo, formed by the waters of the Vale da Roda stream. The cork-oak and olive-grove landscape typical of the Upper Alentejo and the high summer temperatures make its water warm and inviting. Proximity to Castelo de Vide, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Portugal, adds depth to any visit.

Praia Fluvial de Vila Velha de Ródão sits next to the famous Portas de Ródão, a natural gorge of the River Tagus carved into quartzite — one of Portugal's most striking geographical features. The Tagus water on this stretch is calm and suitable for bathing, while the surrounding Portas de Ródão create a landscape of dramatic geology. The location is also important from an archaeological and palaeontological perspective.

Praia de Carvoeiro (mação) is in the municipality of Mação, district of Santarém, in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region. Coastal beach with water quality rated Excellent by APA in 2025.

Praia Fluvial de Gavião sits on the banks of the River Tagus, next to the mouth of the River Ocreza, in a landscape of schist and pine trees. The calm, translucent water of the Tagus in this stretch of the Upper Alentejo is much appreciated, and the wild, quiet setting contrasts with the bustle of coastal beaches.
